Supporting schools in the Eastern Cape and in KZN

Biblionef has provided 205 schools from both the Cofimvaba District in the Eastern Cape and from the Ingungundlovu District in KwaZulu-Natal with new class readers. A total of 16 868 class readers have been sent to these schools in the children’s home language of isiXhosa and isiZulu. We would like to thank our courier, SWE (Siyanqoba Worldwide Express) for sponsoring the courier cost of this donation, it could not have been possible without their support!

Class Readers are an essential tool in supporting children’s reading development; children are allowed to explore challenging texts together, it allows children to collaborate and discuss what is being read and it is a great way for teachers to model fluent reading by reading aloud to the children. We are so excited to be able to support these schools in this way.
