Recognising that the early years are critical to a child’s development, Biblionef has dedicated the past 24 years to empowering ECD Centres and crèches through vital educational resources. In partnership with ECD Training Centres, we provide an initial set of quality resources to support learners aged 0 to 6.

Each ECD Centre typically receives a one-off donation of approximately 20 storybooks along with 5 educational toys, puzzles, and posters to establish early learning services. To ensure these resources are well cared for, we also supply practical storage solutions, including:

• Roller Boxes: Locally sourced for safe, temporary storage.
• Steel Trunks: Purchased from small local businesses.
• Reinforced Fabric Hanging Libraries: Commissioned from female-owned local manufacturers.

Furthermore, our collaboration with Family Community Motivator (FCM) Programmes addresses the challenge of preschool children not attending ECD Centres. FCMs actively engage with children at home and support primary caregivers by providing essential parenting skills and personalised guidance.

For ECD Centres located in Cape Town, our team goes a step further by delivering the resources and offering a brief demonstration on their effective use. Through these comprehensive efforts, Biblionef continues to nurture early learning and development, laying a strong foundation for every child’s future.
