615 children benefit from donation

With the help of our Funder, the Jim Joel Fund, we were able to support a total of 35 Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres and an ECD Training Centre’s Family and Community Motivators Programme with a crucial injection of storybooks and educational resources. This is the second part of a three part donation and we could not wait to share the results with you! Read more about the first part of the donation here: http://ow.ly/Ddnae

15 ECD Centre’s affiliated to Ikhulubone Trust each received a roller box containing a total of 50 new storybooks in the children’s home language of Zulu and English, and 15 educational resources (toys, puzzles, posters). The 15 ECD Centre’s have been chosen from 3 districts within KwaZulu-Natal, namely; Kwadukuza, Ndwedwe and Maphumulo.

“At the training received from Ikhulubone Trust, they spoke to us about the different toys and how each of it was used to help with a child’s development in different ways. This is the first time that I will be seeing and touching the toys and I am really excited!” – From an ECD Practitioner while handing over the roller boxes

It is wonderful to know that because of this donation, 615 children will now have access to new home language storybooks and educational resources to give them the best developmental start to life

We will be completing the final part of this donation in the upcoming months, so be sure to follow us on Facebook/ Twitter for all of the latest updates.
