How we work Biblionef acquires funds to support children's organisations throughout South Africa with new books. However, not all institutions are eligible to receive a book donation from Biblionef. If an organisation is close to a public library, for instance, or has access to funds, Biblionef will not support them. Neither does Biblionef support individuals. Biblionef’s income is generated in two ways: - fundraising and
- selling of knowledge and books
The largest part of Biblionef’s projects is directly funded by donors who provide the financial means to buy books, commission the publication/ reprinting of books and to enable the distribution of books. Furthermore, we create an income by working as a service provider for other organisations by sharing our expertise in the children's book sector. If you are interested in making use of Biblionef as a service provider, please do not hesitate to contact us. In addition to fundraising and sales, Biblionef saves money by making use of volunteers, by buying new books at the best possible rates, by organising the best possible prices for the publication of books and by keeping the running costs low.
